DAY ONE is so much fun, as we frolic along the coast of Michigan. First stop, SOUTH HAVEN. South Haven is a quaint port city with many unique shops and attractions. After this cozy introduction to Michigan, it is off for more adventure along the shore in SAUGATUCK, a stress free retreat where you can relax and unwind. This small coastal town is just what the doctor ordered. Enough adventure to stimulate the body and an essence that will ease the mind. This no rush, no fuss destination is truly one of a kind. This evening we retire in LUDINGTON,MICHIGAN after a satisfying Buffet dinner.
DAY TWO : After breakfast, Tis off to the sea aboard the mighty SS BADGER. The badger has sailed Lake Michigan for more than 50 years. Set yourself back to the late fifties, as you sail aboard a great piece of history that once reigned as “QUEEN OF THE LAKES”. There are many amenities on board such as bingo, movie and television lounge, bar, snack bar, shops, tour the ship or just sit on deck and take in the view. Land Ho, we arrive in Wisconsin. We will begin our journey to the beautiful DOOR COUNTY. This evening we will settle in the spectacular, STURGEON BAY.
DAY THREE there is so much to see. Today, we will meet a step on guide in Bailey’s Harbor for a guided tour of Door County. Stops include a winery, a roadside market and the Bjorklunden Chapel. We will stop for lunch at the famous AL JOHNSON’S.
|Al Johnson’s is home of the Swedish Pancakes and thatched roofs with goats a grazing. Our tour ends back in the beauty of Bailey’s Harbor. We close the Door with a flaming farewell FISH BOIL, a fiery feast of fresh fish, a flavorful favorite!!|
|DAY FOUR has yet more fun in store. We are on our way to the Wisconsin Dells. You will have free time to explore one of the country’s top vacation spots. They offer something for everyone; history,parks, ducks, sightseeing, you name it, they got it.|

We start our adventure with a stop at HARTSTONE POTTERY located just outside of Zanesville, Ohio. Learn the history of pottery and take a production tour of their facilities. Enjoy the skill of the talented craftsmen as they produce hand-painted stoneware.
This evening we take a ride on THE VALLEY GEM, an authentic sternwheeler for a scenic cruise into the Muskingum Valley. Enjoy dinner and the beautiful views!
The next day we travel to the NATIONAL RADIO ASTRONOMY OBSERVATORY in Green Bank, West Virginia. Scientists from all over the world come here to study planets, comets, quasars and galaxies. See the Robert C. Byrd Green Bank Telescope, the world’s largest fully steerable radio telescope, as we take a fascinating tour of this facility.
Next, we take a ride on the CASS SCENIC RAILROAD. We are transported back in time to the era of steam-driven locomotive. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the vast wilderness.
On our third day we’ll ride one of the rarest steam locomotives in existence.
THE DURBIN ROCKET TRAIN is powered by a rare steam locomotive, Old #3, one of only three operating Climax geared logging locomotives on earth. Ride in an authentic 1920-era coach and vintage wooden caboose behind #3 as she puffs and whistles her way along the free-flowing Greenbrier River in Northern Pocahontas County. Enjoy a box lunch and the beautiful river and mountain views of the Monongahela National Forest.
We then travel by motorcoach to Cheat Bridge where we board our next train, THE CHEAT MOUNTAIN SALAMANDER. Travel the unspoiled mountain scenery passing through an 1,800-foot long tunnel built on an “S” curve and make a stop at the inspirational
HIGH FALLS of the CHEAT.
Dinner tonight is included at the Railroad Restaurant Buffet.
